Billie Eilish says abuse of minors is ‘everywhere’ as she reveals her own

Billie Eilish has revealed that she was taken advantage of when she was younger — while insisting that abuse of minors is “everywhere.”

The 19-year-old pop star told British Vogue magazine that her new single, “Your Power,” is “an open letter to people who take advantage – mostly men.”

But Eilish refused to elaborate or identify her own abuser, and instead begged fans to “not just try to figure out who I’m talking about” in the song.

“Because it’s not about that … It’s really not at all about one person,” she told the UK mag of the “anger and disappointment and frustration” in her latest songs.

“You might think, ‘It’s because she’s in the music industry’ – no, dude. It’s everywhere,” she said, revealing that her own abuser was not a music industry figure.

“I don’t know one girl or woman who hasn’t had a weird experience, or a really bad experience. And men, too – young boys are taken advantage of constantly,” she said.

The singer said children get manipulated because they “feel like [they’re] so mature and know everything.”

“People forget that you can grow up and realize s–t was f–ked up when you were younger,” she said.

“It doesn’t matter who you are, what your life is, your situation, who you surround yourself with, how strong you are, how smart you are … You can always be taken advantage of.

“That’s a big problem in the world of domestic abuse or statutory rape – girls that were very confident and strong-willed finding themselves in situations where they’re like, ‘Oh my god, I’m the victim here?’

“And it’s so embarrassing and humiliating and demoralizing to be in that position of thinking you know so much and then you realize, I’m being abused right now.”

Eilish told the mag that it was the exact situation she found herself in when younger, while refusing to elaborate.

She predicted that her message would get twisted by critics pointing to her sexy lingerie shoot for the mag, imagining someone telling her, “‘You’re going to complain about being taken advantage of as a minor, but then you’re going to show your boobs?’”

“Yes I am, motherf–ker! I’m going to because there’s no excuse,” she said.

“I really think the bottom line is, men are very weak,” she said.

“I think it’s just so easy for them to lose it. ‘You expect a dude not to grab you if you’re wearing that dress?’

“Seriously, you’re that weak? Come on! Go masturbate!” she told the mag.
