Morrisons launches Tommy Tea afternoon box for VE Day 2021 – how to get

This year, VE Day falls on Saturday 8th May 2021 and to mark the occasion, Morrisons has brought back its popular afternoon tea box to help Britons nationwide celebrate the event at home.

Morrisons has released the Tommy Tea afternoon box set to honour the upcoming VE day.

Helping customers celebrate the day at home, the box features a selection of 13 products from Morrisons The Best food range.

Inside the box, customers can find a delectable afternoon tea feast that includes butter scones, Cherry Bakewell tarts and sparkling Sicilian lemonade.

Ideal to share with friends and family, this box is only available for a limited time so be sure not to miss out on it.

The box is named Tommy after the slang used by German and French troops in wartime to refer to a British soldier.

Other food treats in the box include honey roast ham, cheese slices and white loaf bread.

There’s also a packet of salted crisps for a light, savoury snack.

From classic ham and cheese sandwiches to sweet scones, there’s snacks to delight every taste.

One of the supermarket’s most sought-after sets, this year’s box also supports the Royal British Industry Legions.

£1 of every purchase goes directly to the charity to provide support to the UK’s most vulnerable veterans and give them safety and employment opportunities.

Joseph Clark-Bland, charity and community specialist at Morrisons added: “We’re proud to continue to show our support for veterans and the RBLI’s Tommy’s Tea Campaign.”

Each box also contains information about the charity and how customers can continue to donate and support it.

Make the most of the sunny weather and have a picnic outdoors with this set.

Delivery fee is also included.
