‘I am a big consumer, I feel like I have really good gut instincts on consumer goods, and so, if it’s coming out of our personal account, I do vet all the companies,’ she noted.

Kunis went on to state that her husband ‘will bring me companies and be like, “here’s a company we’re thinking of investing in.”‘

The Bad Moms star then recalled that her spouse had brought up the idea of investing in Uber in the first stages of their relationship.

She said, ‘Early into our dating, two things came up. He was like, “Hey, there’s this kind of company, it’s kind of like a rideshare…it’s like a cab company, but anyone can drive the cab.”‘

Kunis then told Colbert that she was not enthusiastic about the investment prospect and told her husband, ‘That’s the worst idea ever.’

‘I was like, “You’re going to put me in a car with a stranger? What is wrong with you?” Like, I was furious at him,’ she added.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall actress went on to note that her 43-year-old spouse later brought up the idea of investing in a then-burgeoning economic prospect.

Kunis recalled, ‘He sat me down and was like, “Hey, I got to explain this to you, tell me if I’m crazy…there’s this thing, it’s like mining for money, it’s called cryptocurrency, it’s called Bitcoin.”‘

She added, ‘I went, “This is a horrible idea,” and he went, “Cool, we’re investing in it.”

Colbert, 56, briefly interrupted the actress’ story and expressed that a former coworker proposed getting into cryptocurrency years ago and that he regretted not doing so,

Specifically, the comedian noted that his friend ‘reminds me on a weekly basis that if we had started mining Bitcoin years ago, I could stop this nonsense comedy career at this point. I feel like an idiot.”

Kunis concluded by expressing faith in her husband’s investment philosophy and that, although many of his ideas may seem risky at first, she is usually happy about the outcome.

‘This happens all the time, there’s companies that he’ll talk about that, to me, seem so ludicrous…and yet, here we are,’ she said.
