I honestly dont think people really want it. Just nostalgia. It would be hard to make also because of that. Cater too much to nostalgia you probably lose a new audience, modernize it too much nostalgic fans would complain.
That said id definetly play it if done well. Imo, and i know ill get some hate, but if they did a huge battle royal with fully destrucable environments do kinda like destruction allstars have generic vehicles until you power up call down your hero vehicle.
