Jana Kramer claims “adultery” sparked her split from husband Mike Caussin.
In her divorce filing obtained by E! News, the “One Tree Hill” alum cites “inappropriate marital conduct, irreconcilable differences and adultery” as the reason behind her decision to end the pair’s six-year marriage. The date of their separation is listed as April 20, 2021, just one day before she announced they were calling it quits.
The filing also reveals the estranged couple entered into a post-nuptial agreement, and that she wants to share custody of their two children, daughter Jolie Rae, 5, and son Jace Joseph, 2.
Kramer, 37, also requested the former NFL player, 34, pay alimony and cover the cost of of her legal fees.
Page Six confirmed last week that Kramer filed for divorce after Caussin allegedly cheated on her again. He has been candid about getting help in the past for sex addiction.
“‘It’s time,’” Kramer’s statement on social media began. “As I try to make sense of a reality I never wanted to believe could be possible again, those words have now become a reality.”
“I’ve fought, y’all. I’ve loved hard. I’ve forgiven. I’ve put the work in. I’ve given everything I have, and now I have nothing else to give.”
“Please know that I still believe wholeheartedly in marriage, love, and rebuilding,” the “Love at First Bark” actress continued. “I just can’t fight any longer. It’s time to heal. Thank you for all the love, heart, and support, in many ways you have fought on this journey alongside me, and for that I am grateful.
“I’ll always encourage you to continue the good fight, but you can’t fight it alone.”
Kramer and Caussin married in 2015 but separated a year later. He spent time at a treatment facility in 2016 and said he came away “comfortable with owning the fact that I am a sex addict.”
Caussin has not publicly commented on the split.
