Cleaning your shower head should be a part of your regular bathroom cleaning routine. This enables the shower to continue working perfectly as dirt and mineral deposits can have an effect on its performance.
Bathroom experts at Drench have shared their tips on the easiest ways to clean your shower head using products already found in your house.
One method to get your shower head clean is to use baking soda.
Mix baking soda with water to create a paste and, wearing a pair of gloves, spread the paste across the shower head and allow it to sit for 15 minutes.
Cleaning experts highlighted the importance of not leaving the baking soda on for too long as it can become very hard to rinse off.

Furthermore, any cola drink would do the trick – it doesn’t have to be branded.
One of the most common methods to clean a shower head is to use white vinegar and a plastic bag.
Firstly, scrub off loose dirt or limescale that’s not too stubborn with a scouring sponge or a toothbrush.
Next, fill a small plastic bag, such as sandwich bag, with white vinegar and place it over the shower head until it is completely submerged.
If you don’t have vinegar or baking soda at home but have a cupboard full of cleaning solutions, an oven cleaner is useful for cleaning a shower head.
Oven cleaners are designed to cut through tough grime burnt inside your oven, and so it’s important to wear gloves while using the solution.
Spray the shower head with the oven cleaner, leave it to soak for 20 minutes, and then rinse it off with warm water.
If your shower head is still dirty after trying all the above cleaning methods, Drench recommended removing it and replacing it with a new one.
