Lorraine Kelly details ‘bizarre’ overnight experience hours before show 'Weirdest thing'

Lorraine Kelly, 60, said she thought somebody was in her home after hearing a noise from her living room in the early hours of the morning. As she went to investigate, she realised her dog Angus had accidentally lent on the remote and switched the television on.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Adil Ray, she described the encounter as a “bizarre experience”.

She said: “It was about half past two, the lights all went on and it was really, really noisy and I thought somebody was having a party in my house.

“And when I went into the living room, Angus had put his head on the remote control and put the telly on, it’s the weirdest thing.

“Honestly it was so bizarre and I of course couldn’t get back to sleep, so thank you Angus.”
