This is the moment a young child had a lucky escape from death after falling onto railway tracks just as a train was approaching.

But seconds later the child falls off the platform at Vangani Railway Station, west India, and onto the railway line.

The incident leaves the man frozen in shock and afraid to approach the platform edge to help the minor as a train hurtles towards them.
Luckily a railway worker launched into action and can be seen racing towards the fallen child.

It is believed nobody sustained injuries as a result of the incident.
