3 women shot, 2 fatally, in DC apartment that was set on fire

Three women were shot, two fatally, at a Washington DC apartment that was then set on fire by the suspect, reports said.

An uninjured infant was also rescued from inside the apartment in the Southeast neighborhood that was set ablaze at about 7:30 p.m., Fox 5 DC reported, citing authorities.

Two of the women were found inside the burning apartment, WUSA 9 reported. The third woman was found outside of the building.

The fire was extinguished later Monday night, according to the reports.

Investigators believe the violence was a domestic incident, though a suspect has not been publicly identified.
