Tom Jones, 80, feared he wouldn't survive wife's death and reached out to grief therapist

Sir Tom Jones has opened up about his late wife Linda’s death, detailing what he was told by his therapist. The Welsh crooner’s spouse lost her battle with lung cancer five years ago.

The 80-year-old has now spoken candidly about the “lowest point of his life”.

He and his other half had been married for 59 years when she died.

It will be half a decade since she passed next Saturday, and Tom has told of his guilt.

“I honestly didn’t think I was going to get through it,” the legendary singer commented.

“That’s how I remember her.”

Tom says he plans on being on stage in 10 years time and “doing Sex Bomb”.

He said this will be the case if he has his way.

The star is currently promoting his new new album, Surrounded by Time, which will be released on April 23.
