Manchester United and Chelsea have both joined the race to sign Real Madrid’s Lucas Vazquez this summer, according to reports.

The Spaniard’s contract at the Bernabeu is over at the end of the season and he looks set to leave the club after failing to negotiate a new deal.

Bayern Munich have also been showing an interest in the 29-year-old, but they will face competition as ABC reports that the Premier League outfits are also looking to pounce for Vazquez on a free.

Vazquez has rejected the latest offer from Los Blancos, which was a three-year deal on a 10 per cent pay cut after their budget took a big hit due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Both English clubs are willing to pay Vazquez more than he currently earns at Madrid.

Other reports from AS have claimed that the winger, who has featured in Madrid’s team since 2015, is already in ‘advanced talks’ with Bayern Munich over a move this summer.

Hansi Flick’s side are reportedly intent on sealing a deal as quickly as possible and admire the Spaniard’s versatility, which has seen him operate at both right back and right winger this season under Zinedine Zidane.

United and Chelsea’s interest has only boosted Vazquez’ stock even more in the UK, after Tottenham and Everton previously showcased their interest in him last summer.

LaLiga duo Valencia and Sevilla in addition to Serie A pair AC Milan and Napoli have also been touted as potential suitors.

Vazquez has made a total of 237 appearances for Real’s first team, scoring 26 goals in the process.

His club trophy haul also includes two LaLiga titles and three Champions League crowns.
