Jasmine Harman claims it's 'about time' A Place In The Sun was recognised with award

A Place In The Sun star Jasmine Harman, 45, is one of the much-loved presenters of the Channel 4 property show. Now the star has spoken out about wanting the show to be recognised with another award for its success, as she urged her followers to vote.

Posting in front of her 74,000 Instagram followers, Jasmine shared the exciting news that the property series had been nominated for an award.

She wrote: “Isn’t it about time we won another award???????

“Here is @jonnieirwintv and me at the @tricawardsuk in 2008 when we won Best Daytime programme!

“A Place in the Sun has been nominated again so if you love the show, please give us your vote! I’ll put the link in my stories!!!”

Among its contenders are Countdown, Loose Women, The Chase, Tipping Point, Lorraine and Steph’s Packed Lunch.

The winners will be announced at the show on Friday, July 2.

Jasmine also posted a snap with her last award on her Instagram Stories as she urged her followers to vote.

She penned: “My TRIC award still has pride of place but I think it’s time for another one!”

Jasmine often shares insights on the series with her followers, including a recent post about the most memorable episode of A Place In The Sun.

The presenter revealed this was the episode with Tina the bin-woman who was looking for a cave house in Spain with a budget of £19,000.

She wrote: “It was memorable for me for so many reasons. I was pregnant with my son.

“It was the hottest July on record in Spain (at the time!) I stayed in a cave house for the first time.
