GAME UK PS5 Stock reportedly delayed until April, New Currys Priority Pass news

A new report out this week claims that the next PS5 stock update from Game UK will not happen for a few weeks.

There were hopes that a restock would be launching via the online store in the coming days.

However, based on the latest information, console hunters might have to wait until April 8 for the next shipment from GAME UK.

The only upside to this latest news is that other stores are expected to offer PS5 restocks this week, although we don’t know which will be first.

While details still remain thin, it looks like several UK retailer will be offering the chance to buy a PlayStation 5 console this week.

Meanwhile, Currys is set to offer more stock via its Priority Pass programme, which recently offered its first update.

While most people would not have been selected to buy a console, another chance is expected to happen this week.

This will include a small group of customers who have signed up via email being able to buy a PlayStation 5 console within 48-hours of receiving confirmation.

A message sent out by Currys on March 22 provided the latest update, with those who failed to be chosen to buy a console receiving this message:

“Unfortunately, you haven’t been picked in this round of the PS5 VIP code draw.

“But don’t worry – you’re still in the running for our next one. If you win a code to buy a brand new PS5 we’ll let you know. Good luck for next time.”

It removes the frustrating experience of battling other customers on a website that is prone to crash, but the chances of being selected for a Priotity Pass are still very slim.

Other UK retailers expected to offer stock this week include Amazon and Very, with John Lewis another possibility.

Knowing that more PlayStation stock is coming is important, but console hunters should also know the best ways to get stock from each platform.

Here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and making sure to keep an eye on local store listings.

AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before trying to check out.

GAME: Game is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase.

And as always, there could always be some very last-minute stock drops that surprise everyone, which normally drop during the early hours.
