Kate Winslet says toughest role of all time is 'juggling motherhood and films'

The Oscar-winner, 45, says her job gets increasingly difficult thanks to her “chaotic home life”. She said: “I find it harder because I’m a mum. I have a really chaotic, lovely domestic home life.

“My husband and I, we’re sort of this team and we don’t have staff, any of that stuff.

It’s just not really how we roll. So separating myself from my home just mentally, to not be making shopping lists and PE kits, to do my [acting] job, does get harder.”

Kate has daughter Mia, 20, by first husband Jim Threapleton, son Joe, 17, with film director Sam Mendes, and Bear, seven, with third husband Edward Abel Smith.

But Kate, now playing a fossil hunter in romance Ammonite, won’t quit films.“I love this job more as I get older,” she said.
