Bekah Martinez details being sexually assaulted in broad daylight: 'I felt totally powerless'

Bekah Martinez revealed she was sexually assaulted on a walk with her two young children Ruth, two, and eight-month-old Franklin on Friday.

The 26-year-old mother and Bachelor alum revealed she was victimized by a teenage boy on a skateboard, who grabbed her backside, in broad daylight.

‘I was just out taking a walk, looking like this, pushing my sleeping baby and holding hands with my toddler, when a teenager skateboarded by and grabbed my a**,’ she captioned her latest Instagram post, showing her in a tie-dye long sleeve, brown shorts, messy bun and no makeup.

She continued: ‘I felt totally powerless as I screamed at him ‘THAT IS NOT OKAY. WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?’ I wanted to chase him down and pull him off his skateboard. Punch him in the back. Do something, anything to get through to him that what he did was so wrong.’

Meanwhile she described her assailant as looking ‘so casual’ and in no rush ‘as he whizzed on past down the sidewalk, only glancing back when he was a block away.’

The incident left her eldest ‘so shaken,’ who Martinez said ‘kept repeating in her 2-year-old voice, ‘you otay, mommy?’

‘I’m not okay. I’m mad,’ the reality star explained to her fans. ‘I’m mad that this kid felt bold enough to touch me in the middle of the day, in a neighborhood, with my children by my side.’

She asked: ‘What the f**k is he going to do to a woman when he’s an adult in the cover of night?’

Martinez also revealed it was not ‘the first time’ a man violated her.

‘I remember being alone on the beach at 21 when a man walked up to me with his d*ck in his hand. I felt helpless then, too,’ she recalled. ‘I hate this. I hate that this is the world my daughter will grow up in.’

‘The world will always be unsafe for women,’ she concluded.

'It doesn't matter if you're a sex worker. It doesn't matter if your tits were out. It doesn't matter if you've f**ked before,' she wrote. 'It's not your fault. No one deserves or asks to be sexually assaulted. 'No one ever'

After making a post on the app, Nextdoor, to warn her neighbors she was pleasantly surprised by comments from ‘men in the neighborhood’ that made her ‘feel good.’

‘It’s up to men to hold their friends accountable, to speak up when they see someone do or say something wrong. They can’t cover for their buddies or look the other way anymore.’
