Reviewing the Oppo A9 2020, one of the most budget-friendly smartphones to hit the UK at just £220. With its quad-lens camera setup, mighty 5000mAh battery and Moto G8 Plus style specs, the A9 2020 is one of the best cheap Android mobiles of the year. Here’s what I think of the performance, battery life, camera tech and other features after a full week of using Oppo’s blower as my personal handset.
We all know that more isn’t necessarily better, but the quad lens shooter around back is actually pretty good for a budget camera-phone. You’ll see some oversaturation in everyday photos, but the portrait and night modes work well and that wide angle lens adds some welcome flexibility.
The 6.5-inch display may just offer HD visuals, but those visuals are still crisp enough for enjoying shows on the go and the Oppo A9 2020’s stereo speaker setup is also impressive at this cheap price. Meanwhile the Snapdragon 665 platform backed by 4GB of RAM means respectable everyday performance and you can even do light gaming with PubG Mobile.
