Man stabs straphanger in leg on NYC subway train

A suspect knifed a man aboard a subway train in downtown Brooklyn early Friday morning, police said.

The unidentified assailant stabbed the 30-year-old man in the right leg at about 12:15 a.m. on a southbound No. 4 train as it approached the Nevins Street station, cops said.

The suspect, believed to be a man in his 30s, ran off the train at the station and is still at large, authorities said.

The victim was rushed to Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

The circumstances that lead to the stabbing were not immediately known.
