James Martin urges Sarah Harding to 'keep fighting' alongside kind offer amid cancer news

This Morning chef James Martin, 48, has taken to Instagram to share a sweet message with Sarah Harding, 39, after she opened up about her breast cancer battle in her new book, Hear Me Out. James reposted Sarah’s latest Instagram message, which she dedicated to her fans while thanking them for their “kind and loving messages” after extracts of her memoir were shared for the first time.

The television personality took the opportunity to reach out to Sarah with a kind offer while urging her to “keep fighting”.

The presenter informed the singer that he will cook her “whatever she wants” and treat her to a “cold bottle of fizz” in his heartfelt caption.

James penned in view of his 612,000 followers today alongside the Girls Aloud star’s post: “You keep fighting girl and there is always a cold bottle of fizz and me cooking whatever you want waiting for you here.”

He also shared Sarah’s words, which read: “I can’t thank everyone enough for all the kind and loving messages that I’ve received since the weekend.

“It means so much to me and to my mum. Today’s a special day because it’s publication day for Hear Me Out. At last.

“I actually can’t believe I’ve done it! What started out a dream idea last summer is now a reality. I hope you enjoy reading my story.

“The picture on the front of the book was taken by the amazing @ruthrosephotos a few years ago. I thought I’d share this little behind the scenes shot here.

“It’s a lot more sophisticated than some of the older pics in the book! Can’t wait for you all to see them. Sending lots of love as always, S x.”

A fourth replied: “Your a inspiration Sarah, iam sending you a whole load of love-n-hugs. Keep safe sweetheart.”(sic)

James’ moving message comes after Sarah revealed doctors have told her she “probably” won’t see another Christmas.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star announced last year she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, which had spread to other parts of her body.

In an extract from her book shared by The Times, she said: “In December my doctor told me that the upcoming Christmas would probably be my last.”
