Jane Seymour shares heartbreak after James Bond co-star's death 'I shall miss him'

Jane Seymour, 70, took to her Instagram to pay a heartfelt tribute to Yaphet Kotto, who had starred alongside her and the late Sir Roger Moore in the James Bond film, Live and Let Die. The actress uploaded a still from the 1973 movie, showing her and Yaphet together in the midst of a tense scene.

Jane, who was around 23 at the time, looked radiant in a plunging red swimsuit, while Yaphet appeared dapper in a brown suit.

She wrote in view of her 196,000 followers: “I had the pleasure of working with Yaphet Kotto on Live and Let Die as a very young actress.

“He was a kind man and working with him was quite an unforgettable experience.

“Yaphet was an amazing actor who really embodied Mr Big. I shall miss him, Rest in Peace,” she added.

His wife of 24 years Tessie Sinahon confirmed the sad news on Facebook, she wrote “You played a villain on some of your movies but for me, you’re a real hero and to a lot of people also.

“A good man, a good father, a good husband and a decent human being, very rare to find. 

“One of the best actors in Hollywood, a Legend. Rest in Peace Honey, I’m gonna miss you everyday, my best friend, my rock.”

Yaphet also starred in The Running Man and Alien, as well as hit TV shows The A-Team and Law and Order. 

The actor is survived by his wife and six children.

Meanwhile, British-born Jane is now residing in Los Angeles, where she maintains a very healthy lifestyle.

Jane, who only recently turned 70, shared on Loose Women she still weighs the same now as she did when she was 17, due to a rigorous workout regime and healthy diet.

The former Bond Girl divulged she only eats one meal a day, which is sometimes savoured with a glass of wine or a square of dark chocolate.
