The special E-Type Collection cars will be sold as a pair with buyers receiving one E-Type 60 Edition Coupé and one roadster. Jaguar has said the cars feature a range of unique enhancements for “improved usability” on the road and to bring the cars back into the 21st Century.
Extra features include a five-speed manual gearbox with reinforced cast aluminium casing for enhanced reliability and durability.
The models will also be equipped with a new enhanced cooling system and an upgraded stainless steel exhaust, dimensionally identical to the original.
Jaguar has said the cars will come with luxury features such as a new infotainments system alongside a built-in sat-nav and Bluetooth connectivity.
The cars will be finished in bespoke grey and green colours inspired by the original paintwork when the models were first launched.

“The attention to detail demonstrates how this project has been a labour of love for our designers, engineers, craftspeople and partners.
“Exquisite detailing combined with enhanced usability ensure these E-types will be coveted and enjoyed for decades to come by their discerning owners, starting with a once-in-a-lifetime Coventry to Geneva pilgrimage for our six customers and their guests in Summer 2022.”
In an extra visual enhancement, each car will include a unique piece of metal engraving relevant to each E-Type Edition model.,
Each coupé model will also include a stylised route map plotting the journey taken by Jaguar PR man Bob Berry to get to the launch.
The models will include a sketch of the E-Type and the words “I thought you’d never get here”, relaying the words of Jaguar founder Sir William Lyons to Bob minutes before the unveiling in 1961.
Meanwhile, the roadsters will include an engraving of the journey made by Jaguar test driver Norman Dewis on his last-minute drive to Switzerland.
Johnny Dowell, artist and designer ‘King Nerd’ said it was a “fantastic opportunity” to work on the “iconic and special cars”.
He said: “This was a fantastic opportunity to design and engrave the stories of two epic drives by two Jaguar legends in these iconic and special cars.
“A permanent reminder of the anniversary, everywhere these E-types go, the memory of Bob Berry and Norman Dewis will travel with them.”
Just six pairs of the restored cars will be sold with any interested buyer urged to contact Jaguar Classic directly.
Prices have not been officially published but are expected to be around £650,000.
