Death in Paradise: Ben Miller opens up bizarre death scene ‘Doesn’t look like a body’

“We were filming that bit and everything on Death in Paradise there are no effects, everything is done for real,” he continued.  “So, while I’m having my cup of tea, over on the other side of the bay, right on the top of the building up there, they’re going to throw the bride’s body, you know the dummy off the top of the building.

“So, I’m sitting there and at this point, we’ve only been there a week or a couple of weeks or something and I’m trying to figure out ‘what is the tone of this?’

“At the time we did the show, things like The Wire were very popular, Wallander, it was very much stand how you are.

“I remember doing this scene and I’m having this cup of tea, I’m drinking this cup of tea and I Iook over and there’s no rehearsal for this and somebody’s going ‘throw her off’ and I was expecting this body to come off the top of the building and it’s like this tailored dummy. It’s almost like a blow-up doll dressed in a wedding dress thrown off the top.”
