Juventus 'will accept a bid of just £25MILLION' for Cristiano Ronaldo

REVEALED: Juventus ‘will accept a bid of just £25MILLION for Cristiano Ronaldo this summer’ as the Serie A giants plan for life without the Portuguese star after their latest Champions League exit… with PSG and old club Real Madrid on alert

  • Juventus will take a bid of just £25m for Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports
  • The Italian giants are bracing themselves for life without the 36-year-old star
  • Juve have failed to get past the last eight in the Champions League with Ronaldo
  • Ronaldo’s £28m-per-year wage is a huge expenditure for the Italian giants
  • Paris Saint-Germain are interested, while a stunning return to Madrid is possible

Juventus are reportedly prepared to accept as little as £25m for Cristiano Ronaldo with the Italian giants bracing themselves for life without the superstar following their latest Champions League exit.

Ronaldo, 36, joined the all-conquering Italians from Real Madrid in 2018, with Old Lady chiefs hopeful that the Portuguese could help them to clinch an elusive Champions League title.

However, Juve’s performances in European football’s premier competition have dramatically slumped since Ronaldo’s arrival, with the Italians failing to advance past the quarter finals in each of the last three seasons.

At the age of 36, Ronaldo is proving a incredibly expensive asset, with his £28m-per-year salary significantly dwarfing the earnings of his team-mates.

And reports in Italy suggest that the reigning Serie A champions are tempted to cut Ronaldo loose this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain interested in landing the four-time Ballon d’Or winner.

According to Corriere dello Sport via Football Italia, Juventus will accept an offer as low as £25m to part ways with the 36-year-old, with any less than that sum resulting in a capital loss for the club.

Ronaldo’s current contract with the club expires in June 2022, with the club not looking at extending that deal at present.

Meanwhile, reports in Spain says that Jorge Mendes, agent of Ronaldo, has held talks with Real Madrid over a sensational return.

Ronaldo helped guide Zinedine Zidane’s side to four Champions League titles in five seasons, smashing goal records along the way.

Juventus CEO Fabio Patratici said this week: ‘Fortunately, there is still a year on Ronaldo’s contract, so we have time to talk to him. That’s not a priority right now.’

Superagent Mendes has strong relationships with European football’s elite clubs, with French reports this week outlining that the Portuguese keeps in regular contact with PSG’s club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Le Parisien say that PSG are closely monitoring Ronaldo’s situation in Turin ahead of the summer transfer window.

In the event that Kylian Mbappe decides to leave the Parc des Princes, PSG would reportedly look to sign either Ronaldo or his great football rival Lionel Messi whose Barcelona future is far from certain.

Mendes and Al-Khelaifi regularly remain in contact – with their relationship dating back to 2015 when the Portuguese agent was largely responsible for helping build a succession plan in Paris the year before Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s departure.

The Le Parisien report also claims that Mendes and Al-Khelaifi regularly text each other, and even do video calls with one another.
