Food recalls are put in place when a product is deemed to be unsafe for the consumer. The latest recall is an update from the Food Standards Agency (FSA) on popular chicken sold in various different supermarkets.

The FSA is also encouraging customers to follow cooking instructions and practise good hygiene to avoid cross contamination and contracting salmonellosis.
The company said: “If followed correctly, the cooking instruction on the label is enough to kill any salmonella present.”
In other food recall news, Danone are recalling a series of their yoghurts after the company said they could contain pieces of metal.
The company is recalling its Light and Free Peach Passion Fruit Greek Style Yoghurt 4x115g with the use by date of March 31, 2021.
The use by date can be found on the top of the pack.
One batch of Active Vanilla 0% Fat – NO Added Sugar Yoghurt 4x120g is also being recalled.
Customers should look for the best before date of April 2, 2021 and no other dates are affected.
The third yoghurt being recalled is the Activia Intensely Creamy Raspberry Yoghurt 4x100g with the best before date of March 31, 2021.
These yoghurts are sold in Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons and Tesco and should be returned where a full refund will be issued.
