The Good Doctor season 4, episode 12: Why is The Good Doctor taking another break?

The Good Doctor went on a one-week hiatus so no new episode was shown as expected on Monday, March 1. This episode was called We’re All Crazy Sometimes and was instead shown this week, focusing on Lea Dilallo (played by Paige Spara) and Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore), trying to get her towed car back. But in an unexpected twist, the belated episode ended on a very different note.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from The Good Doctor.

Shaun and Lea got back to the flat after successfully recovering her car when he admitted she had been acting a bit crazy for the past couple of days.

Taking a moment to pluck up the courage, Lea tells her boyfriend there is a reason why she has been acting strange.

She then tells Shaun that she is pregnant and he is clearly lost for words, with the episode ending without him saying anything.

Unfortunately for fans, it’s going to be another couple of weeks before we get to find out what the couple is thinking about becoming parents.

Why is The Good Doctor taking another break?

The Good Doctor was on a mini-hiatus last week so viewers were happy to see its return for episode 11.

This comeback is only brief though as it will be missing once again with no new episode being shown in its usual time slot which would have been on Monday, March 15.

There have been random breaks throughout series four airing but this has mostly been down to the show continuing to film episodes.

Shooting for season four isn’t scheduled to end until May with the show originally delayed because of the pandemic.

There is no need to worry about when the series will return as the show’s next episode is already lined up.

The Good Doctor will be back for episode 12 on Monday, March 22, which is in two weeks’ time.

As of yet, a synopsis hasn’t been released but the instalment is called Teeny Blue Eyes.

A teaser trailer has also given fans an idea of what’s going to happen.

In the promo, Shaun is seen telling Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff) about the pregnancy and how he wanted to be a parent.

Meanwhile, Lea is seen talking to Claire Brown (Antonia Thomas) about the situation, admitting that she wasn’t sure if she was ready for this.

So are Lea and Shaun going to go through with this life-changing experience?

The Good Doctor is available to watch on ABC.
