Andrea Bocelli teases latest performance with daughter Virginia Bocelli in touching photos

Last December, Andrea Bocelli’s eight-year-old daughter made her professional singing debut alongside her father. Virginia Bocelli joined the Italian tenor on stage at the Teatro Regio di Parma for live-streamed concert Believe in Christmas. There, she handed him a guitar and the two began to sing a stunning cover of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah.

Just like Matteo Bocelli, Andrea’s son from his first marriage, Virginia has proven she’s inherited her father’s talents.

And now it looks like the eight-year-old has been singing with her father again based on touching photos shared on the 62-year-old’s official Instagram account.

The Bocellis have been in Tampa, Florida, where it looks like Andrea and Virginia have performed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

The Italian singer has given concerts at the American venue before and this time has invited his daughter on stage.

It’s unclear from the photos if this was an attended concert on February 28 or if the Bocellis had it filmed, but hopefully, Andrea will make this clear in the near future.

In the pictures, Virginia appears to be reading some sheet music before holding a microphone to sing, as she stands by her father with a guitar.

We also see the eight-year-old bowing with her father and signing photos of her and Andrea.

After Virginia’s Christmas concert debut last year, Express.co.uk caught up with Andrea.

On how that duet came together, Andrea said how it started out as a bit of fun.

The Italian tenor said: “The initial idea was born from a bit of fun, and then it came to the concert and the song itself with Virginia was featured in the setlist.

“Franco Dragone, the director of the live stream, insisted that it be included in the show and judging by the results he was right in entrusting her with such an important part.

“Although Virginia, was practically born and raised on stage and behind the scenes, this was her official debut.”

Andrea also assured that Virginia was not nervous to perform but is in fact a very determined child.

He said: “Certainly her piano and dance studies have helped her understand when you need to give your all.

“In Parma, everything went smoothly and with the greatest of ease. It’s a father and daughter duo singing a song together.

“Virginia has mastered how to forget the cameras and stay focussed. She maintains the right spontaneity – on a song that I’d recently recorded that she has heard so many times.”
