Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend Lindsey Vonn has reacted to the news that he was in a serious car accident and rushed into surgery on Tuesday in a social media post.
‘Praying for TW right now,’ the Olympic skier wrote alongside a praying hands emoji.
Woods is undergoing surgery after sustaining ‘multiple leg injuries’ in a serious car crash in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning.
The 45-year-old golfer was driving alone near Rancho Palos Verdes when his Genesis GV80 flipped over at 7.12am.
Firefighters had to use a device known as the ‘jaws of life’ to break open the car and rescue the PGA legend.

He was then taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center where he is now undergoing surgery to correct ‘multiple injuries’ on both his legs, his agent Mark Steinberg said in a statement shortly after the crash.
Vonn, 36, and Woods dated for around three years before their 2015 split. She said that the breakup was ‘mutual’.
‘After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship,’ Vonn said at the time.
‘I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together. Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart. I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart.’

Woods echoed her comments in a similar statement posted on his website.
‘She has been amazing with Sam and Charlie and my entire family,’ he wrote of her and his children from a previous relationship.
Vonn also expressed her continued admiration for Woods in 2018 as his golf career experienced a resurgence.
‘I support him. We’re friends, we congratulate each other … it’s really nice to see him playing so well again,’ she said.
Vonn was later engaged to New Jersey Devils defenseman P.K. Subban but they also announced their split in December and placed their $7.175 million Beverly Hills home up for sale this week.
The Olympic gold medalist, 36, began dating the NHL ice hockey star, 31, in 2018 before they bought the Beverly Hills property together a short time thereafter.

Woods suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash on Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant Michael White told E! News Woods was conscious when he was removed from the vehicle and that he was taken out of the car through the front windshield.
Sources close to the golfer told DailyMail.com his injuries include a compound fracture and shattered ankle in one leg. He is undergoing surgery to put the pieces of his ankle back together, the source added.
Woods was on his way to the Rolling Hills Country Club for a second day of filming with Golf TV when he crashed. On Monday, he filmed with Jada Pinkett Smith, Dwyane Wade and David Spade for a series which involves him giving celebrities golfing lessons.
He lives in Florida but was in California over the weekend to host the PGA Genesis Invitational tournament. Genesis gave him a GV80 to drive for the week which is the vehicle he crashed on Tuesday morning.
What caused him to crash remains unknown. He was arrested in 2017 after crashing his car while drunk near his home in Jupiter, Florida.
Sources cited by TMZ say alcohol was not a factor in Tuesday’s crash but it is still under investigation.

Woods recently underwent his fifth back surgery and has not been playing competitively while he recovers. His live-in girlfriend Erica Herman is understood to be at the hospital where he is undergoing surgery.
The golfer was also previously married to Elin Nordegren. They have two children together, Sam, 13, and Charlie, 12.
Woods and Nordegren divorced in 2010 after his infidelity with multiple women was exposed.
The sporting world reacted with shock on Tuesday as news of the accident spread.
Justin Thomas, one of Woods’ friends and former World Number One, said: ‘I’m sick to my stomach. It hurts to see one of my closest friends get in an accident. I just hope he’s all right.
‘Just worried for his kids.. I’m sure they’ll struggle,’ the 27-year-old added as he struggled to hold back tears.
PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said in a statement: ‘We have been made aware of Tiger Woods’ car accident today.
‘We are awaiting further information when he comes out of surgery. On behalf of the PGA TOUR and our players, Tiger is in our prayers and will have our full support as he recovers.’
Former President Donald Trump released a statement through his spokesperson to wish him well.
‘Get well soon, Tiger. You are a true champion!’ he said. He is still banned from Twitter.
Pinkett Smith was also among those sending their well wishes after filming with Woods the day before.
‘Prayers up for the GOAT @TigerWoods who was in an accident this morning,’ she wrote.
‘Was just with him yesterday. Don’t take not even a MOMENT for granted! I know you’re good because your Tiger within is a beast!!!’
‘Praying for my brother @TigerWoods as we all anxiously await more news. Thinking of him and his entire family,’ said Alex Rodriguez.
