Sia reveals Shia LaBeouf was also dating FKA Twigs when she was 'conned' into an affair

Singer Sia has claimed that Shia LaBeouf was also dating FKA Twigs – as well as being still married – when he ‘conned’ her into an adulterous relationship with him.

She alleged in an interview with The Sunday Times that the actor was ‘using the same lines on me and Twigsy’ and that both singers believed themselves to be the only person dating him until they spoke to each other.

‘Both of us thought we were singly dating him. But that wasn’t the case. And he was still married,’ the Australian singer, whose real name is Sia Furler, explained.

‘He said he wanted to marry me and live a sober life.’

Yet the 45-year-old admitted that she feels ‘like I’m always gonna love him because he’s such a sick puppy’ despite the deceit.

Sia had first claimed in a cryptic tweet in December that LaBeouf, 34, had ‘conned her into an adulterous relationship’ as she blasted him a ‘pathological liar’.

‘I too have been hurt emotionally by Shia, a pathological liar, who conned me into an adulterous relationship claiming to be single,’ her tweet read.

‘I believe he’s very sick and have compassion for him AND his victims.’

It came after 33-year-old Twigs – real name Tahliah Delbert Barnett – filed a lawsuit against her actor ex, accusing him of sexual battery, assault, and infliction of emotional distress.

Sia has said that LaBeouf was never physically abusive to her but that he misled her and she did not know he was still married to English actress Mia Goth at the time.

LaBeouf and Goth filed for divorce after two years in October 2018.

Sia previously married film-maker Erik Lang in 2014 but the couple also divorced after two years.

She and LaBeouf have known each other for years and the actor infamously appeared in flesh-colored underpants in her music video for the song Elastic Heart in 2015.

Sia has not revealed a timeline for her relationship with LaBeouf but FKA Twigs dated him for less than a year ending in May 2019.

Her comments come as the singer faces her own criticism for her directorial debit on the movie ‘Music’.

LaBeouf has been tipped to star in the movie but was later replaced by Kate Hudson.

Sia has been condemned for casting an actress who does not have autism to play the main character, who is on the spectrum.

Instead she cast Maddie Ziegler, her regular artistic collaborator who also featured in the Elastic Heart video with LaBeouf.

Sia has also been criticized for scenes in which the main character Music is restrained face down by her sister and their neighbor.

She initially defied the backlash and claimed she had spoken to the autism community before the film and had initially tried to cast as actress with autism but that the role was too stressful for her.

Yet two weeks ago, she rescinded and said she ‘listened to the wrong people’ and removed the restraint scenes.

She also deleted her Twitter account.

On Wednesday, LaBeouf denied each and every’ assault allegation made by FKA Twigs and said he wants her to pay his legal costs after she accused him of ‘relentless abuse’.

LaBeouf has said he ‘denies, generally and specifically, each and every allegation contained in [Barnett]’s Complaint, denies that [Barnett] has sustained any injury or loss by reason of any act or omission on the part of [LaBeouf], and denies that [Barnett] is entitled to any relief or damages whatsoever’ according to legal documents obtained by People.

His lawyers add ‘none of the acts alleged were based on sex and/or the conduct was not sexual’ as they try to get the sexual battery allegations dismissed.

LaBeouf’s team have said they want Twigs to pay his legal costs as well as ‘further relief as the Court may deem just and proper’.

Earlier Wednesday it was reported that LaBeouf has ‘parted ways’ with his agent while receiving care at a residential treatment facility.

It’s understood that he has ceased working with the Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Insiders told Variety that CAA haven’t been working with the actor for around a month but they haven’t fired him.

In her lawsuit, Twigs alleges LaBeouf knowingly gave her an STD and abused her – both emotionally and physically – during their relationship leaving her ‘with PTSD’.

The pair dated for less than a year before ending things in May 2019 with sources saying at the time the separation was down to her work schedule.

In one incident detailed in FKA Twig’s lawsuit, LaBeouf was allegedly speeding in Los Angeles in February 2019 when they were returning from a trip to the desert.

He removed his seat belt and threatened to crash the car unless she told him she loved him; the lawsuit says.

LaBeouf stopped at a gas station after Twigs says she begged him to stop and let her out. When she removed her bags from the trunk, LaBeouf allegedly threw her against the car, screamed in her face and then forced her to get back in the vehicle.

Just prior to the gas station incident, Twigs alleges she woke in the middle of the night to find the Transformers actor choking her.

She told the Grounded With Louis Theroux podcast: ‘I was left with PTSD [post-traumatic stress disorder] from that, which again is just something that I don’t think we really talk about as a society just in terms of the healing when leaving, and how much work that has to be done to recover, to get back to the person that you were before.’

In response to his ex’s allegations, LaBeouf had issued a statement to the New York Times that said, ‘many of these allegations are not true’, though conceded ‘I’m not in a position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel.’

‘I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations,’ he said. ‘I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.’

LaBeouf is now said to have been receiving treatment for over five weeks and his release from the unnamed facility will depend on his recovery.

Songwriter Katy Rose has also alleged that he ‘groped’ her ‘violently’ at a party in the Hollywood Hills once and stylist Karolyn Pho joined Twigs’ lawsuit.

Pho, a stylist, alleged in the suit that LaBeouf ‘drunkenly pinned her to a bed and head-butted her, enough that she bled.’

Questions also arose around his sudden departure from Olivia Wilde’s forthcoming movie, Don’t Worry Darling.

LaBeouf had been picked for a role but left the project before it began shooting and has been replaced by Harry Styles.

LaBeouf’s arrest history dates back to the 1990s with separate apprehensions for stealing Nike trainers and a Gameboy Pokémon.

On July 27, 2008 the following year he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Hollywood after he and two women were injured in a car accident.

While LaBeouf required surgery on his hand, there was not enough evidence to convict the actor, despite him failing a breathalyzer test.

In 2011 he allegedly got into a bar-fight while filming The Company You Keep in Vancouver, Canada, although no arrests were made.

Worse would follow in 2014, when officers arrested LaBeouf outside New York City’s Studio 54 amid reports of disruptive behavior during a performance of Cabaret.

During the incident he reportedly bellowed from the audience before slapping actor Alan Cumming on the bottom and hurling insults at his arresting officers.

He later pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct, resulting in the actor receiving three months of treatment for alcohol abuse.

Another arrest followed in October 2015, with LaBeouf arrested in Austin, Texas for misdemeanor public intoxication while attending the Austin City Limits music festival.

Another two incidents came in 2017, with the actor arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor assault in New York City that February, before being taken into custody again for obstruction, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness in Atlanta, Georgia in July.

In September 2020 he was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery and one count of misdemeanor theft following a physical altercation with another man that July.
