She has been accused of seeking to evade sanctions on Iran through a firm called Skycom.

Wanzhou is alleged to have down-played Huawei’s relationship with Skycom in a meeting with HSBC.

Huawei’s lawyers now claim HSBC was aware of Huawei’s relationship with Skycom and are seeking internal documents they say could prove this.

A judgement is expected to be given by Friday.
