The Sinner is back on Netflix with a chilling new season, and Bill Pullman has once again returned as detective Harry Ambrose, but he’s investigating a new mysterious case. Season 3 of The Sinner introduces Jamie Burns (Matt Bomer), a high school teacher whose past comes back to haunt him when an old friend from college shows up unexpectedly at his door one night and welcomes himself in for dinner with Jamie and his pregnant wife.
After a tense meal, the two men go out for a drive, but only one of them emerges from the car alive after a nasty wreck kills Jamie’s friend when he loses control behind the wheel. Clearly, Jamie is hiding something, and Harry is determined to find out why he was driving down that road that night, and why his friend is dead while he escaped with only a scratch on his head.
Like other seasons of The Sinner, the latest installment takes place in Upstate New York, but the locations won’t all look familiar to fans of the USA series.

THE SINNER SEASON 3 FILMING LOCATIONS:
The Sinner filmed all around New York for Season 3, but when it came to the fictional town of Dorchester, they chose the Hartsdale Train Station to stand in for the Dorchester stop on the Metro North train line.
To create Jamie’s workplace at the upscale Briarton School, The Sinner filmed at New York’s Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, which you may have recognized for its frequent TV cameos. Previously, it was featured on The Undoing as the Reardon School and on Gossip Girl.
Other scenes in the most recent season where filmed in STK, a restaurant in Manhattan, according to The Cinemaholic, which also reports that the recent season filmed in The City College of New York. Other locations from Season 3 include the Mt. Pleasant Justice Court building in Valhalla, New York, which functions as the Dorchester Police Department in exterior shots, and the Hastings Center Diner and the Found Herbal Apothecary Herb shop, both in Hastings-on-Hudson.
