Sky Rojo will be landing on Netflix in March as a new series from the people behind La Casa de Papel, Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato. The series tells the story of three sex workers who flee their pimp and embark on a life on the run. Here’s what you need to know about the cast and if it will feature many familiar faces.
Will any Money Heist actors appear in Sky Rojo?
Money Heist fans are still reeling from the news the series will be coming to an end this year with its fifth and final season.
However, they will soon have a new show to enjoy as Sky Rojo lands on Netflix on March 19.
The Spanish series has already been confirmed for two seasons of eight episodes each – so there will be plenty to enjoy.
The premise of the show focuses on Coral (played by Verónica Sánchez), Wendy (Lali Espósito), and Gina (Yany Prado) who flee their pimp in search of freedom.

However, Romeo (Asier Etxeandia) is not planning to let them go easily and pursues them with his henchmen Moisés (Miguel Ángel Silvestre) and Christian (Enric Auquer) in tow.
The crime thriller features the ensuing chase with some huge twist and turns along the way.
Netflix teases: “Together, the women embark on a frantic, chaotic journey during which they must face dangers of all kinds and live every second as if it were their last.
“[This is] while strengthening their friendship and discovering the most important thing: that together they are stronger and have more options to recover their lives.”
Viewers will recognise him as Gandia in the third and fourth seasons of Money Heist.
He was the former head of security at the Bank of Spain who became one of the hostages.
However, viewers will remember he played a huge part in season four when he broke free and began a reign of terror against the Money Heist gang.
Another star crossing over is Miguel Ángel Silvestre who will play one of the henchmen, Moisés.
Silvestre is best-known currently for playing Franklin Jurado in the Netflix original series Sense8.
However, he is set to play a huge role in the final season of Money Heist.
Back in July 2020, it was confirmed he will be playing a new antagonist in the show.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Pina said: “We always try that our opponents be charismatic, intelligent, shiny.
“In this case, in pure war film genre, we also look for characters whose intelligence can measure up against The Professor’s (Álvaro Morte).”
As well as this, not all of the cast of the new show has been confirmed yet.
So there could be some more familiar faces popping up in the series when it comes out.
Sky Rojo is released on Netflix on March 19.
