Travellers from UAE ‘denied entry into UK’ from tomorrow as travel ban continues

The Tory MP warned travellers that if they do not have proof of a negative coronavirus test or have not filled out a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) before arriving in the UK, they could face a fine of £500 for each.

It comes after the Government unveiled this week that it would be placing travellers in hotel quarantine that are returning from 30 countries.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the Government would “enforce this at ports and airports by asking people why they are leaving and instructing them to return home if they do not have a valid reason to travel”.

The Government said the new measures would help prevent the spread of mutant Covid strains coming into the UK from abroad.
