Melania Trump office move 'hints at separation preparation’ from Donald expert claims

Former US President Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump left Washington last week to fly to Florida. The couple are living in Mr Trump’s private club, Mar-a-Lago.

But according to CNN, the former First Lady is seeking a separate office space away from the club.

A family expert claimed Melania’s move could be “preparatory steps” for separating from Donald in the future.

Speaking to the Daily Star, family mediator Louisa Whitney, of LKW Family Mediation, said: “Melania’s wish for a separate office could well be preparatory steps for explaining to Donald that she’d like to separate – she might be seeking to set up a role for herself that builds on the work she did as First Lady.”

Mr and Mrs Trump flew to Florida last week as US President Joe Biden was sworn into office.

Before their departure from the White House, speculation grew over whether the couple would get a divorce.

Last year, a former aide of Mr Trump, Omarosa Manigault Newman, told the Daily Mail: “Melania is counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce.”

However, after more than a week since the couple left the White House, the Trumps have not officially announced any divorce or separation.

Sources told CNN Melania is intending on maintaining her ‘Be Best’ campaign.

Sources told the broadcaster previously Melania is “not sad to be leaving” Washington.

A source told the network: “Donald Trump slept in his own bedroom, which was previously a study or den during other administrations.”

Before Melania left Washington with her husband to Florida, the former First Lady had not been seen in public since December 30.

Last week, on President Biden’s inauguration day, Melania was filmed hastily leaving the Air Force One plane to sit in a car while her husband stopped to pose for photographs.

Social media users were quick to spot what they claimed was a snub by the former First Lady.

One Instagram user jokingly reacted to the video of Melania hastily walking to the car by writing “she’s so done”.

Another social media user, pretending to be the voice of Melania, wrote: “Is this the way to my divorce lawyer?”

Both Mr and Mrs Trump did not attend President Biden’s inauguration.
