Asked if this sort of thing happened regularly, Fiona opened up about the fan mail she had received when she first started presenting the news.
“No that I’m aware of,” the mum-of-two replied, before adding, “I’ve had some funny letters obviously.”
She went on to divulge: “I would say the most bizarre letter I’ve had is from a chap, who – years and years ago, when I first started presenting the 6 O’clock news – and he wrote this letter about how he quite liked me etc… and he signed off at the end, p.s. I have a medium sized penis.”
“What a boast,” she exclaimed through laughter, as she recounted the story.
