The Gunners are set to face Southampton for the second time in four days, but will have to do so without their captain.

Aubameyang was also absent for Arsenal’s FA Cup defeat on Saturday, having pulled out of Mikel Arteta’s squad just hours before their clash at St Mary’s.

‘Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Will be unavailable for Tuesday’s match due to personal family reasons,’ a statement on Arsenal’s website read.

The details surrounding Aubameyang’s absence have not been declared but the Arsenal boss has made it clear he will give the 31-year-old all the time he needs.
