PS5 restock available at Amazon UK TODAY, but issues adding PlayStation 5 to basket

UPDATE: The PS5 is now sold out at Amazon UK, with both the Disc and Digital Edition getting snapped up quickly.

If you missed out on the PS5 Amazon UK restock then other retailers are expected to be taking PlayStation 5 orders soon.

Argos are rumoured to be readying a PS5 restock with PlayStation fans allegedly getting a chance to order a PS5 this week.

While Very, BT and EE are also rumoured to be taking PS5 orders soon.

And there’s a chance Amazon could cancel any PlayStation 5 orders that were placed with bots today, which would free up some stock

The @PS5Instant Twitter account posted: “Amazon has officially ran out of stock. I know several of you managed to get the PS5s, thanks for your messages of support, for those who didn’t, don’t worry more drops are happening this week, such as Argos, BT, EE & Very #PS5 #PS5drop #ps5stockuk #ps5restock #PS5drop #PS5uk”

The account went on to add: “Also just to add some more information. Amazon may cancel suspected bot orders and relist them. But their bot detection isn’t great and this will be a very small number of orders. #ps5 #ps5drop #ps5stock #ps5restock #ps5uk”.

It’s also worth pointing out last time around Amazon released their PS5 stock in stages, so it remains to be seen if the retail giant does this again on this occasion or not.

ORIGINAL: PS5 stock became available to buy at Amazon UK today, with the Disc Edition of the console listed as in stock and available to buy.

Around 9.30am UK time the PS5 Disc Edition was listed as in stock and available to buy at Amazon, however PlayStation fans have reported issues trying to add the console to their basket.

Some PS5 gamers have been unable to add the console to their Amazon basket, getting a “there was a problem adding to the basket” error on the Amazon app.

While others have been greeted with an error screen which says: “We’re sorry. An error occurred when we tried to process your request.

“We’re working on the problem and expect to resolve it shortly. Please note that if you were trying to place an order, it will not have been processed at this time. Please try again later.”

Tweeting about the PS5 Amazon stock situation the @PS5Instant Twitter account posted: “Amazon sites crashing overload. Keep trying though guys. Still says in stock. Disc only”.

After the PS5 Disc Edition became available to buy at Amazon UK the Digital Edition also was listed as in stock.

We’ll have to wait and see whether this is the case with the most recent restock, or whether Amazon UK is sold out for the time being.

In the meantime, despite the issues PS5 gamers faced today trying to place an order from Amazon some lucky fans were able to do so.

One tweeted: “GOT ONE!”

While another posted: “Finally got one! Took me 3 attempts to add to basket but all gone through email confirmation and payment taken delivery Wednesday!”

And one added: “Ordered!!! Just hope they’re able to keep up with demand!”

If you weren’t able to order a PS5 from Amazon today then there are rumours of restocks happening at other major UK retailers.

Argos are rumoured to be prepping a PS5 restock that could go live in the coming days.

Like with the GAME restock, it’s been claimed consoles will be shipping out in February – but Argos will be taking PlayStation 5 orders before then.

It’s also been claimed that Very will also be taking orders for the PS5 this week.

The @PS5Instant Twitter posted: “Very are dropping this week alongside Argos and a few others.”
