Man Utd: How important is Pogba to the Red Devils
Manchester United are expected to have a quiet January transfer window following their superb start to the Premier League season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are currently top of the league table after playing 17 matches and it could be a case of more out the door than in for United.
Solskjaer’s side are three points ahead of Liverpool going into Sunday’s huge clash at Anfield and things on the red half of Manchester are looking great at the moment.
This does mean, though, that the United boss is unlikely to strengthen his squad this month, with very few names being linked with a move.
However, a few players have been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, including Daniel James, Odion Ighalo, Jesse Lingard, Brandon Williams, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones.
With all this being said, we have used Transfermarkt to find out the latest market values of each of United’s squad to see how they have changed since the summer.

There has been a drop in the value of a large number of United players, which may seem surprising due to their strong form this season so far.
The coronavirus pandemic has to be taken into consideration here, with clubs having less money to spend and other teams becoming more desperate to raise funds.
The most dramatic decrease is Paul Pogba, who was valued at £72m in the summer, but the website now prices the France international at £58.5m.
This may be surprising for some United supporters considering Pogba’s recent form for the side since he’s been playing on the left-hand side.
More big decreases in value come from Harry Maguire and David De Gea, who both plummeted by £9m each.
De Gea’s form has been concerning for United supporters, with some asking for Solskjaer to choose Dean Henderson over the Spaniard.
Bruno Fernandes is United’s most valuable player, the website says, with the Portugal international being valued at £81m, which is a £9m increase from the summer.

Fernandes has been a revelation since moving to Old Trafford 12 months ago and if he continues to show the form he has been, then his value will only keep growing.
Youngster Facundo Pellstri has also seen his price increase, with the Uruguayan now valued at £6.3m, with his price growing by £4.68m.
The 19-year-old has scored twice for United’s Under-23 side in the Premier League 2 this season and also got on the scoresheet in the EFL Trophy.
Edinson Cavani has seen his value dramatically increase, which isn’t surprising, with the striker now being 33 years old.
Likewise, Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic have both had their values lowered, with the pair also coming towards the end of their careers.
Fred’s impressive performances in the centre of midfield has earned him a slight increase in value, alongside Scott McTominay.
