An elderly woman was found dead with a phone cord wrapped around her neck in her Brooklyn housing project apartment, police said Friday night.
The woman, identified as Juanita Cabarello, 78, was found by her son at just before 5 p.m. inside her Woodson Houses apartment at 393 Powell St. in Brownsville, law enforcement sources told The Post.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and an investigation is ongoing, police said.
