Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci blasted President Donald Trump as ‘the domestic terrorist of the 21st century,’ comparing him to Oklahoma City Bomber Timothy McVeigh.

Scaramucci, who lasted just 11 days in Trump’s administration, denigrated his former boss in an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper Thursday night.

When asked if Trump will leave office quietly Scaramucci said: ‘He incited a riot, he incited an insurrection. He’s arguably, at least in the 21st century, you could say Timothy McVeigh for the 20th century, but he is the domestic terrorist of the 21st century.’

McVeigh was an American domestic terrorist who carried out a bombing in Oklahoma City in 1995 that killed 168 people and injured 680 others and destroyed a third of a federal building, seeking to inspire a revolution against the federal government.

It was the deadliest act of terror in the nation before the September 11 attacks and is the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in US history.

‘You think he will be viewed as a domestic terrorist?’ Cooper asked.

‘I think right now we’re all in shock right now because he’s the president of the United States and we always try to normalize that office…But 50 years from now, a presidential historian will look at this situation and say “My God, he didn’t accept the election, he signaled prior to the election that he wasn’t going to, and he incited an insurrection where people descended on the Capitol building calling for the death of his vice president,”‘ Scaramucci replied.

‘You’ve got to step back, Anderson, and look at it objectively and look at it from 2071, not 2021. And yes, I do think he will be known throughout history as somebody that incited domestic terrorism,’ he added.

Scaramucci is demanding that Trump be held accountable and serve jail time.

‘My personal view is he has to be held accountable, he has to be convicted in the Senate. The guy really should go to jail,’ he said.

‘He’s the president of the United States so we’re going to be cautious about that but they’ve got to make this very punitive on him. As Speaker Pelosi said, “there’s nobody above the law,”‘ he added.

‘He’s got to be punished, in my personal opinion I’d love to see him in jail, that will likely not happen, but taking away the powers of an ex-president through the conviction, I think would be a good start,’ he reiterated.

Scaramucci was asked about how Trump will spend his final days before Joe Biden’s Inauguration next week.

‘If he could have one more big insurgency he would, but I don’t think he’s going to be able to get that now because he doesn’t have the communication, the direct messaging that was going on social media,’ he said.

‘I think it’s going to be sullen, anger based and somewhat solitary,’ he added.
