During the scuffle, the canine gets trampled under the lioness paw, but continues its attack, despite the larger animal swiping at it with its paw.

The pair battle in a cloud of dust on the ground, as the smaller of the two animals jumps to attack the face of its opponent.

The animals grab each other by the neck before breaking apart and resting at two different corners of the clearing.

Feeling triumphant, the dog struts away, leaving the bewildered cat standing amongst the trees.

After resting for a few moments, the fight continues, however the dog runs away when a second lion enters the battleground.
