President Trump’s tie-maker has become the latest bidder to throw its hat into the ring for Arcadia’s assets. 

G-III Apparel, which was involved in the Donald J Trump Signature Collection of silk ties and Ivanka Trump’s now-defunct fashion label, is elbowing in on the battle to buy assets such as Topshop and Dorothy Perkins, The Sunday Telegraph reported.

Led by chairman Morris Goldfarb, the firm joins fellow US retailer Authentic Brands and Britain’s Boohoo and Next in sniffing around Arcadia.

And in a sign of the changing times, Debenhams’ former store in Wandsworth, London, is being turned into a four-floor entertainment venue by Gravity. 

Around £4m will be spent on creating a Japan-themed electric go-karting circuit, a New York-themed bowling alley, and areas with other games such as darts and pool.
