Now Strictly Come Dancing is over for another year, and hopefully by the end of 2021 things will be beginning to get back to normal, the cast have been reminiscing on the series just gone by. Janette Manrara, who was paired with YouTuber HRVY for the actual show, was also partnered with Kelvin Fletcher, who won the 2019 show alongside two time winner Oti Mabuse, for last year’s tour and when it came down to who she preferred to dance with, Janette didn’t hesitate to pick “her finalist”, HRVY.
The pair came runners up after Oti and Bill Bailey stole the crown, and while they didn’t leave without he glitter ball trophy, they left with an even greater prize: a friendship that will last for years to come.
Many thought this might be the year that Janette finally steals the title, as she has come within inches of being crowned winner once before, but never actually won the show.
During her first ‘Ask Janette’ Instagram Live of the year, the professional dancer was eager to answer all her followers’ questions.
While she and husband and fellow Strictly dancer Aljaz Skorjanec, who was paired with Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo, messed around at the beginning as she sorted out her phone, Janette soon took her place centre stage.

Moving through the questions rather quickly, of course her partnership with the young singer came up straight away.
“I loved dancing with HRVY, I cant say that enough I think I’ve said that a thousand times these past four to seven weeks,” she giggled.
“I’ve loved dancing with all my partners but I think with my partners, there has always been a moment or a dance that I think, ‘I’ve absolutely fallen in love with’ so, having a favourite moment!”
The dancer also wasn’t scared to turn down a few queries which she felt she couldn’t answer at all.
“I had Kelvin and HRVY.”
She paused for a minute before revealing her true feelings on the matter.
“…But it’s got to be HRVY,” she smirked.
“Sorry Kelvin, I love you but you won with Oti [Mabuse] as your partner, so my HRVY, he was my finalist!”
When the nationwide tour kicked off back in January, Janette gave fans a quick update into her rehearsals with her new dance partner Kelvin, where she admitted she was “nervous” to dance with the 2019 champ after his big win.
She said at the time: “I’m now on my way to my first rehearsal with Kelvin Fletcher. The winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2019. The champ!
“I’m so nervous but I’m so excited. Oti you are big shoes to fill, big personality to fill. I love her and I love him and I can’t wait.”
She added: “I hope that we make her proud on the tour, and Kelvin, bring it!”
