“These are the words I received today and I can’t stop saying them over and over again

The father-of-two went on to thank the NHS for their help, adding: “You’re all having a tough time out there but we appreciate the work you are all doing on the front line.”

Tom also praised his wife Kelsey for being his “rock” during his difficult time and said he will continue to fight for their children “every second of every day”.

“Friends, family and everyone on this journey with me – you have got me through my darkest days,” he added.

“To everyone on here – your love, light and positivity have inspired me.(sic)

Six weeks later, the former Wanted star was rushed to hospital after suffering another seizure during a family trip to Norwich.

Due to coronavirus restrictions, his wife wasn’t by his side when he was told he had stage 4 glioblastoma.

Speaking after the diagnosis, Kelsey said they didn’t ask for a prognosis amid fears it could affect his state of mind.

She said: “We didn’t ask for one. I said that for Tom’s state of mind, and who he is as a person, that would not be good for him.

“He would literally sit here and count down the days and not live his life.”

Last month, the singer discussed the side effects of his “brutal” chemo and radiotherapy.

He said: “As some of you know, I have been through chemo and radio, haven’t I?

“Which was pretty god-damn brutal, but some of the side effects from the chemo and radio are you get bad memory loss.”

He then turned to his his wife Kelsey and said: “Mine was already bad, wasn’t it?”

His spouse responded: “Horrendous already, so now I’m like… literally, it’s even worse!”

The singer elaborated telling his followers he struggled to remember daily activities, but would sometimes recall “weird” things, such as a present he bought for their daughter Aurelia.
