Lionel Blair, 92, leaves viewers 'absolutely gobsmacked' with sprightly GMB appearance

Lionel Blair, 92, has left Good Morning Britain viewers “gobsmacked” with his sprightly appearance on the programme today. The veteran actor was interviewed by Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard on the ITV show and discussed the coronavirus vaccine amid the third national lockdown in the UK.

However, fans were distracted by his youthful energy as he returned to screens.

One person wrote on Twitter: “@GMB how fantastic to see how well Lionel Blair looks and I was absolutely gobsmacked when my wife said he’s 92 years old!

“Absolute inspiration to us all! Mega respect!”

Another added: “Gawd Lionel Blair on #GMB. He is 92! He was on celebrity Big brother a few years ago dressed in bondage gear! Plenty energy for a man of his age..”

“Im so glad he’s got his 2nd Jab of this amazing vaccine, which is truly a miracle, we truly needed this to defeat this horrible Virus.”

 

While he was on the show, Lionel revealed how he is feeling now after having his second dose of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine.

The star said: “I’m feeling fine, it was the best birthday present I could have had because I was 92 on December 12 and on that day they said I can have my first one, which I did.

“And yesterday, I had my second.”

He added: “I want to thank the scientists for getting this together, it’s just wonderful what they’ve done.

“I do the flu jab every year, I do as I’m told!”

Lionel has been very careful during the pandemic, as he has been shielding and wears a mask when he answers the door to people at home.
