Slurp Ippudo Ramen at Home

Before the pandemic, you could usually count on a line outside Ippudo ramen restaurants, some of which are now open for takeout and delivery. But now you can summon a bowl of one of the chain’s signature ramens any time, with the new frozen kit made in collaboration with Sun Noodle, which is already selling chef-designed ramen kits. Ippudo’s satisfying shiromaru tonkotsu (pork) broth needs 10 minutes to heat; thin hakata-style noodles, slices of cooked pork chasu and fiery karaka miso paste also come in the kit, for one very generous serving. Add your own scallions, slivered napa cabbage, fresh cilantro, mushrooms, fish cake, egg or whatever else suits your fancy for a slurp-worthy bowl.
