Amazon Music Unlimited (2019 Review) | Spotify beater?

Amazon Music Unlimited is one of the best streaming apps for Android and iPhone in 2019, and here’s my up-to-date review and comparison with Spotify.

While Prime subscribers have access to a free catalogue of two million tracks, Amazon also offers a premium ‘Unlimited’ music service which can be accessed via mobile app and smart speakers. A subscription costs £10 per month in the UK, while a family plan can also be opted for – just like Spotify. However, there’s also an individual plan to play your tunes on a single Echo speaker.

So is Music Unlimited worth jumping onto for your Android or iPhone? Well, the catalogue of 50 million songs equals or betters most rivals, with every genre well represented. You can download tracks in unlimited fashion onto your smartphone for offline listening, which is great news if you data allowance isn’t great and you don’t want to rely on WiFi.

Of course, the artist pages aren’t as strong on Amazon’s service, so Spotify still wins for the overall functionality and features.
