Cristiano Ronaldo may be of the age most players start to think about retirement but the Portuguese legend has no such plans.
Ronaldo, 35, is renowned for his physical fitness and wants to keep going for ‘many, many more years’ having just scooped the Player of the Century prize from the Globe Soccer Awards.
He is still performing at an elite level for Juventus and Portugal and is targeting the Qatar World Cup in 2022 and beyond.

‘It doesn’t matter the age’, he told BBC Sport. ‘What is important is the mind.’
‘It doesn’t matter if Cristiano Ronaldo is good, you don’t know tomorrow what is going to happen. I live in the present, in the moment.
‘The moment is good, I feel happy, I feel sharp and in a good moment in my life. I hope to play many, many years more but you never know.’
Ronaldo’s Juventus are struggling in defence of their Serie A title and currently lie in sixth, 10 points behind leaders Juventus but with a game in hand.

The forward is badly missing fans, who continue to be kept away as a measure to prevent coronavirus spreading.
He added: ‘I don’t like to play in the stadiums without fans, it’s like going to the circus but you don’t see clowns.
‘The pandemic has made people crazy. I hope soon they can open the gates of the stadiums.
‘We have to live with that, we have to try to do a normal life but of course we have to respect the rules. But to play without the fans, I really don’t like it.’
