Marcus Rashford admitted he was fortunate to score the winner in Manchester United’s last-gasp victory over Wolves to move them up to second in the Premier League.
The forward scored a deflected effort deep into stoppage time during the Red Devils’ slender win over Nuno Espirito Santo’s side as Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s side picked up their third win in four league matches.
Rashford revealed he targeted Wolves full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri in the dying minutes of the game at Old Trafford but claimed the wicked deflectin off Romain Saiss for the goal had a slice of luck about it.

The 23-year-old told Amazon Prime: ‘It’s probably not the most beautiful goal but we will take what we can get and take the three points and move on.
‘Today was a tough game, we expected that but at the end of the day we managed to get over the line.
‘The full back got cramp a few minutes (before the goal). I had in my head, “Next time I get the ball I am going to make him chop and turn and make something happen”. Luckily it took a deflection and went in.’
Solskjaer’s side are now two points behind leaders Liverpool having played the same amount of games, though Jurgen Klopp’s champions can extend the lead to five with victory at Newcastle on Wednesday.

United are chasing their first Premier League title since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson was manager, with the Red Devils putting a slow start and a Champions League group stage exit behind them to recover well in the league.
Rashford admitted that United were not at their best on Tuesday night against Wolves and that Solskjaer’s side have a lot to do to improve.
The England international also revealed neither he nor his team-mates are looking at the Premier League table as that would be a ‘stupid’ thing to do.

Rashford added: ‘It (the win) means a lot, we obviously are a little bit disappointed that we didn’t play as well as we could have but at the end of the day it’s three points and we will take that.
‘For us we cant look too far ahead, we are a team that is still doing a lot of work on ourselves and to look at the table so early on is a bit stupid.
‘So we have to take it a game at a time and find a way to win like this. We will see where we are at the end of the season.’
