Sausage is just one of 12 costumes which inside, hides a celebrity who will be showcasing their vocal talents on the second season of The Masked Singer. Although the ITV show begins to unfold over the next few weeks, the episodes were filmed earlier this year in line with social distancing measures. For this reason, the judging panel of Mo, 32, Davina McCall, 53, Rita Ora, 30, and Jonathan Ross, 60, already know who the winner is. Ahead of the new instalment, the comedian has revealed who his favourite character is in a possible teaser of who will be announced as champion in the New Year.
Speaking to press, including Express.co.uk, Mo said: “Sausage was one of my favourites. It was a favourite of a lot of people.
“I don’t want to say why it’s my favourite because I really want everyone to be surprised, to understand why it’s our favourite.
“I don’t want to spoil it for people but you’re really going to fall in love with Sausage. If I needed an act to open up a show, it would have to be Sausage.
“When you watch episode one or two, as soon as you see Sausage, you’ll completely understand,” the comedian explained.
With the newcomer suggesting all the panel take a liking to the quirky character, could they take the crown from Queen Bee?

The premiere of season two will see Sausage perform for the first time in front of the judges and a limited studio audience.
Their identity has been kept under lock and key but that hasn’t stopped some avid fans of the show making their predictions.
Taking to Twitter, viewers of the biggest game of Guess Who? have been revealing which celebrity they think is hidden inside the quirk costume.
One eager predictor guessed: “She’s everywhere. 110 percent, the Sausage on The Masked Singer is Baga Chipz, too.”
Following the reveal of the characters which would be featuring in season two, each one had a clue stapled to their image.
For Sausage, the puzzle reads: “Who is all wrapped up in a newspaper but will Sausage be the talk of the town?”
The standout word on the newspaper reads Banger, so could it be a celebrity who has reached the heights of being on the music charts?
Baga Chipz entered the UK Top 40 with the Drag Race band The Frock Destroyers last November following their success on the BBC competition show.
Is this yet another indication the television personality has signed herself up to compete in The Masked Singer?
Speaking about whether viewers will find it easy to crack the character’s identity, host Joel Dommett, 35, said: “The clue packages are much harder this time around, they can really throw you off the scent.
“I think last year they went a little easier as people were getting a sense of the show. I will say it’s much harder when you’re in the studio than when you’re sat at home and you’ve got Google.
“This year there’s certainly a couple of people that had everyone thrown off right until the end,” he explained.
The Masked Singer begins tonight at 7pm on ITV.
