NCIS season 18: When will Delilah McGee return to NCIS?

NCIS series 18 is currently in the middle of its winter hiatus but the season is far from over. So far, only a handful of episodes from the latest series have been shown but there is plenty more to come in the New Year. This includes the other half of Agent Timothy McGee (played by Sean Murray) making a comeback.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from NCIS.

When fans last saw Delilah McGee (Margo Cathleen Harshman) in season 17, there was obvious tension between herself and husband McGee.

She hardly featured in the series but in Welcome to the Dollhouse, Delilah donated some of his items while having a spring clean.

This began the rumours of the once loved-up couple getting a divorce in the latest season.

When series 18 does continue, the situation isn’t looking much better for the pair.

Even though the storyline of season 11 episode four is going to move away from McGee and Delilah, it will be making a return to their marital problems.

The creators confirmed earlier this year there was going to be an episode dedicated to the couple in season 17, prior to filming being forced to a halt because of the pandemic.

Executive producer Frank Cardea said: “It’s unfortunate, one of the episodes we didn’t get to shoot was a McGee-Delilah episode, so that’ll be shot early on next year.”

Just when this episode will be shown in NCIS season 18 though remains a mystery at this stage.

On premiere night, episode five Head of a Snake is going to be aired straight after episode four.

Here, Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Tobias Fornell (Joe Spano) are going to be one step closer to capturing the head of the drug ring which had been selling its product to the latter’s daughter Emily Fornell (Juliette Angelo).

Actress Angelo will also be returning to NCIS during season 18 and going by the synopsis, it does seem likely it could be episode five.

NCIS is available to watch on CBS.
