Meanwhile, Fairplay has been accused of removing furniture from his grandmother’s house, including bar stools, a leather chair and an end table, as well as a silver necklace valued at $5,000.

Fairplay has denied any wrongdoing, telling TMZ in a statement: ‘I (we) have been unjustly charged by a family member. I welcome the opportunity to vindicate myself (and my mother).’

Cooke is the same grandmother who Fairplay infamously claimed had died in 2003 to gain advantage of sympathy from the other contestants on Survivor: Pearl Islands.

He later admitted that his grandmother was alive and ‘watching Jerry Springer’ at home. He finished the season in third place behind winner Sandra Diaz-Twine and runner-up Lillian Morris.

The ruse involving his grandmother made Fairplay one of the most hated reality TV personalities of the decade.

This past September, he celebrated his grandmother’s birthday by posing up with her for a selfie and writing in the caption: ‘Happy 86th birthday “Dead Grandma”… STILL alive and kicking!’

Fairplay went on appear on other shows, including Survivor: Micronesia, The Celebrity Newlywed Game, Celebrity Poker Showdown, Celebrity Fear Factor, Pawn Stars, and Camp Reality.

He legally changed his birth name to his stage name, Jonny Fairplay, in 2013 and became a professional wrestler.

In later years, Fairplay settled in Danville, Virginia, with his second wife, Caryn Finkbeiner, and their two young daughters. He currently co-hosts the podcast Survivor NSFW along with Survivor: Caramoan castaway Matt Bischoff.
